Ecobank Kenya on 18 March 2017 donated medical equipment worth Ksh. 20 million to the maternity ward of Mama Lucy Kibaki hospital in Nairobi. The donation was part of activities marking Ecobank’s flagship corporate social responsibility activity, Ecobank Day.
Equipment donated included incubators, weight and height scales, and blood pressure machines, examination couches, among others. Ecobank Kenya staff also felicitated with the new mothers at the hospital
Ecobank Executive Director and Head of Commercial Banking in Kenya & EAC, Humphrey Muturi, said, “This year’s Ecobank Day has given us an opportunity to contribute towards improving maternal healthcare in Kenya. It demonstrates our commitment to providing the support that people need to transform their lives. We look forward to establishing more sustainable corporate social responsibility programmes in appreciation of the huge support we receive from the communities we operate in.”
